What does being a witness mean?
Hey guys, today we will be talking about what being a witness means to me and how our field trip to LA transformed me. In LA we visited the Tolerance Museum and the Japanese American National Museum. The definition of a witness is "a person who sees and event, typically a crime or accident, take place". At the Tolerance Museum, our tour guide talked about how it is our decision to be a witness or be apart of the event you see. This stuck with me because she showed an example of her "bullying" one of our teachers. None of the people in our group did anything about it or stood up for her. This taught us that when we see something like that taking place, we need to do something about it.
Till next time,

Great post Lexie! I especially like how you said: "It is our decision to be a witness". Yes, it is our decision. We choose how we want to react to an event. We can either stand by and watch it happen, or take action!
